Our bimonthly (even numbered months) gathering at Pamela Jayne's house in Kapaa for "talking story" about issues in our environment. MAHAULEPU - FOR ART'S SAKE
South shore. Two hikes in one along our scenic south coast. Moderate to Easy. Length four miles. Walk with naturalists and artist A.J. Metzgar who will alternately interpret the area through graphic renderings as well as customary conversation. (Artists and sketchers encouraged to come. Call Wendy!). HIGHWAY CLEAN-UP
West side. Our two mile stretch of Waimea Canyon Road begins at the junction with Kaumualii Highway in Waimea town. A couple of hours in the morning and we should have our stretch spic and span! Call Rob: (246-8748)

KOKEE "CAMP-IN"
West side. Begin the Christmas season in the cool and colorful forest of Kokee. Join the club for a few hours service work at the historic Souza Center now undergoing renovation. We'll have time to take to the nearly deserted trails, make Banana Polka baskets or wreaths for Christmas. Bring a pot-luck dish (or your Thanksgiving leftovers) to add to a traditional roasted Turkey dinner on Saturday afternoon. Call: Pamel Jayne (822-5410)

HANAKAPIAI FALLS
North Shore. Strenuous eight miles. Hike two miles on the Kalalau Trail to the first major valley. A two mile journey up stream brings you to the spectacular falls of Hanakapiai. Leader: Chris Mildwater (644-1946).

BLUE HOLE
East side. Strenuous 10 miles. A rugged stream hike up the canyon of the North fork of Wailua River. We'll be heading for the base of Mount Waialeale. Always subject to cancellation due to high rainfall. Leader: Bob Nishek (822-9238)
