Saturday, October 2 - Berry Flats Trail/ Waininiua /Kokee/ Moderate/3 miles. Delightful loop trail. We'll see native birds and the restoration of a lovely native forest. Leia Melead 822-2087

Saturday, Oct 9 - Alakai Swamp board walk/Kokee/West side/Very strenous/7 miles. This mountain rain forest, designated a Wilderness Preserve, is a haven for rare native plants & birds. 4 wheel-drives needed to carpool from Koke`e to trail head. Mitch Skaggerberg 332-0967

Sunday, Oct 17 - Waipo`o Falls/Koke`e/ Moderately strenuous/ 2.5 miles. Enjoy this spectacular hike with its awesome views of the canyon not seen from any other Waimea Canyon lookouts. Alan Rachap 742-1002

Saturday, Oct 23 -Makaleha Falls/East Side/Strenuous/ 3 Miles. This delightful, yet rugged, hike up the Makaleha Stream Valley begins with a winding trail through a bamboo forest and continues in a long, in-stream hike to rarely seen falls. Kathy Valier 826-7302.

Friday, Oct 22- Hanalei Bay Beach Picnic, Beach Walk & Beach Clean up. North Shore/Easy/4 miles. After a beach clean up & picnic, we'll walk along beautiful Hanalei Bay under a star-filled sky. Karen Tilley 826-0081

Wednesday, Oct 27 - National Tropical Botanical Gardens/South Side/moderate/2 miles. Opportunity to see these exquisite gardens and learn about propagation of native plants. We end on the beach under a full moon. Sierra Club members only. Bob Nishek 332-5158

Sunday, Nov 7 - Nonou (Sleeping Giant)/East Side/3 miles/moderate. Hike along all the trails and see incredible sweeping views from the top. Car shuttle for a one way hike. Alan Rachap 742-1001

Saturday, Nov 13 - Kealia to Anahola Coastal Walk/East Shore/Easy/4 Miles. Miles of wild and wonderful coastline. Car shuttle for one-way hike. Some path clean-up. Karen Tilley 826-0081

Sunday, Nov 14 - Moalepe-Kuilau Ridge Trail/East Shore/Easy-Moderate/4.5 miles. Valley to ridge scenic hike near Makale`ha Mountain through hala, ti, & wild orchids. We'll hike both trails easily by shuttling cars. Kathy Valier 826-7302

Saturday, Nov 20 - Kalalau Cliff Trail/Kokee/West Side/ Very strenuous/4miles Hike along ridge of Kalalau down to take in awesome vistas of Kalalau Beach, Na Pali coast and Ke`e Beach! Mitch Skaggerberg 332-0967

Wednesday, Nov 24- Nonou (Sleeping Giant) Conservation Service Project/East Side/strenuous/4 miles. Tend to endangered native plants in their habitat and enjoy a moonlight walk. Sierra Club members only. Bob Nishek 332-5158

Saturday, Nov 27 - Ho`opi`i Falls/ East Side/3 miles/moderate. Lovely forest trail along a river leading to two beautiful waterfalls. A real treat! Leia Melead 822-2087

Saturday, Dec 4 - Waimea Canyon Road Cleanup/West Side/Easy/ 2 miles, Casual morning clean-up of our adopted highway usually requires a little over an hour. Please help keep the gateway to Waimea Canyon clean. Ron Peyton 337-9248

Saturday, Dec 11- Nukoli`i Beach Clean Up, picnic & Bonfire East Shore/Easy/2 miles. Have fun cleaning up a beach and enjoy a picnic dinner by an evening bonfire. Karen Tilley 826-0081

Saturday, Dec 18 - Okolehao Trail Clearing Hanalei/ Strenuous/4 miles. Help maintain Sierra Club's beautiful adopted trail that follows the crest of a ridge with views from Hanalei Bay to Kilauea. Kathy Valier 826-7302

Sunday, Dec 19 - Maha`ulepu/ South side/ moderate/ 4 miles. Enjoy the majestic, rugged ancient sand-dune area of Maha`ulepu, home to many coastal plants. We'll shuttle cars to make this a leisurely one-way hike. Alan Rachap 742-1001

Wednesday, Dec 22 -Nonou Conservation Project/East Side/strenuous/4 miles. On this service trip and moonlight walk we will monitor and give care to endangered plants in their native habitat. Sierra Club members only. Bob Nishek 332-5158

Saturday, January 1 -Ha`ena to Ke`e Beach walk, North shore/ Easy/ 2 miles. Start the new year on the right foot by joining us on this beautiful beach walk. You'll be treated to outstanding views of Makana and Na Pali. Kathy Valier 826-7302
