Because of your support, the Sierra Club, Hawai`i Chapter has become the largest and most effective grassroots environmental advocacy organization in Hawai`i. With your support, we have accomplished many long-standing goals: passing legislation to support state parks from the hotel tax, implementing a "bottle bill" to reduce litter and increase recycling, protecting wild coastline, requiring a set percentage of our energy come from clean, indigenous sources, and more.

Today’s political climate presents bigger challenges. The Sierra Club needs to be in more places to educate policymakers and the public about environmental solutions. When education isn’t enough, we are prepared to legislate or litigate. Without a firm foundation of financial support, this work will simply not be possible.
