Sep 21, 2008
through Sep 21, 2008

10am - 2pm

Details:

Aloha Sierra Club members, past & future members and supporters, and other friends of the environment,

Please come with your friends and family to our 6th Annual Sierra Club Picnic at Hanama'ulu Beach on Sunday, September 21, 10am - 2pm.

Meet other Sierra Club members and people who care about the environment, play games, and relax on the beach. Learn about Kaua'i Group Executive Committee's  environmental preservation endeavors and opportunities to become involved.

Please bring your favorite item for the potluck buffet which begins at noon. Earth-friendly vegetarian dishes are especially welcomed. Beverages will be provided at this free event.

We'll present Sierra Club awards to 3 individuals who have made exceptional contributions to protecting the environment on Kaua'i. They'll be presented by Representative Mina Morita and our endorsed mayoral candidate JoAnn Yukimura. Senator Gary Hooser, who has come to all of our  Sierra Club picnics, may be able to fly over between 2 events he's attending on Oahu.

Award recipients will be joining our list of past outstanding awardees Janis Lyon, Bob Nishek, Rob Culbertson, Judy Dalton, Marge Freeman, Ray Chuan, Beryl Blaich, Loke Pereira, Caren Diamond, Noli Hoye, Frances Frazier, Puanani Rogers, Cheryl Lovell-Obatake, Mahealani Sylva, and Ben Sullivan.

Our beautiful new 2009 Sierra Club wall calendars and engagement books  - America's most popular calendar - will be available at this event.

WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
