- Sandy Beach Cleanup (S)
- Meet at 8:30 a.m. at Sandy Beach bathroom at eastern side of beach park. Cleanup along highway and coastal areas until 10:30. Call Tred (394-2898) for information. Bags, gloves provided. - Help improve one of Oahu's busiest trails and make it a showcase for hiking in Hawaii. Tasks include trail graveling and widening, soil top dressing, removal of old boardwalk and rock work. We can accommodate only 20 people per work day.

- A pleasant walk along an easy valley trail is turned on its head when we ascend two difficult ridges, one of which, Kului, is rarely hiked. Expect to see unusual views and explore barely used trails. Rich Bailey 723-2213

- We will be working with NARS for the long weekend at Manuka, the largest reserve in the State's system. Our accommodation will be at a ranger station a few miles from South Point. - Judd-Nuuanu-Pauoa Flats-Puu Ohia (F)
- 5 mi/Moderate/Ridge, Contour/Nuuanu
- Reservations required as car shuttle will be necessary. We will be going uphill nearly the entire hike. We begin at Nuuanu stream and climb up the Nuuanu trail with beautiful views of Nuuanu Valley from different vantage points and then we exit viewing Diamond Head. Some native plants along the way.
