The picture above shows the existing resort hotel and golf course adjacent to Maha'ulepu. With projected growth in both visitor and resident populations, there is intense pressure to build a similar resort hotel and golf course at Maha'ulepu. In the past, Grove Farm Company has had several proposals for resort developments at Maha'ulepu. Grove Farm Company's current land manager has publicly expressed on several occasions his vision of a luxury hotel and golf course at Maha'ulepu.

This type of development is simply incompatible with the precious resources at Maha'ulepu and the current public use of the area.
